SVT aims to provide education for all children in the 100 villages closest to
Devipuram, India. These schools will focus on basic education, skill development and developing positive attitudes towards life and culture.
45 schools have been operational for over 3 years, and provide free education for 1100 children between the ages of 6 and 14.
50 night schools have been operating with Government funding. However, this
project has come to an end becuase he Government no longer supports this
project. SVT is planning on reviving these schools to be run by students
themselves.
SVT is considering establishing a residential school that imparts skills such as carpentry, masonry, welding, home building, tailoring and brick making.
