Sri Vidya Trust (SVT) is a registered public charitable trust located in Sabbavaram Mandal,
Andhra Pradesh, India, close to Visakhapatnam, founded and led by Dr. N. Prahlada Sastry, formerly a nuclear scientist at the Tata Institute For Fundamental Research
(TIFR), Bombay.

SVT works in areas of education, empowerment of women,
medical outreach to villages and offering free food for pilgrims/visitors.
SVT runs numerous night schools using computers. SVT plans on expanding this to
cover all 50 villages of Sabbavaram Mandal. SVT manages a local savings program
involving 4000 women empowering them to become self reliant. SVT has designed prototypes of a low cost geodesic dome house appropriate for rural
areas.

The Indo-American Institute for Rural Empowerment (IAIRE) is a not-for-profit corporation organized in order to raise funds for charitable purposes empowering the rural poor in India and to provide technological assistance aimed at income-generation for the poor in India. The main objective of IAIRE is to promote self-reliance among the rural poor in India through empowerment programs.
